DAVID SIMON

FOUNDER AND MANAGING PRINCIPAL

BARDAS was founded and is led by David Simon. During his 30-year career as a commercial real estate developer, operator and investor, David Simon has been involved in more than $10 billion in transactions, partnering with both high-profile public real estate companies and private equity firms. In 2018, David founded BARDAS Investment Group, fulfilling his vision of a real estate development and investment firm focused on the creative office sector.

Forward thinking in his endeavors, David places a great deal of consideration into the environments he develops and is passionate about creating spaces where users feel inspired, collaborative and more productive.

He’s spent the past 15 years specializing in creative office development and redevelopment that prioritizes user experience by incorporating a strong sense of hospitality, design and attention to detail. Through his thoughtful and innovative redevelopment strategies, David consistently creates value in the commercial real estate space, focusing on top-tier markets in gateway west coast cities. Fueled by his acute vision and foresight, David excels at identifying markets that are ripe for growth. By recognizing underlying fundamentals that are not always apparent to competitors, he has opened doors to many successful projects in Southern California and was one of the key catalysts for the commercial office explosion in Hollywood, California.

His projects have been recognized by the Urban Land Institute, the Los Angeles Conservancy and the Southern California Development Forum. In addition to David’s expertise in finding the best market solutions for his tenants and investors, his unique understanding of the media and entertainment space has led him to develop some of the most high-profile projects in the Hollywood market.

David holds a master’s degree in real estate development from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute, vice chair of the board for Oakwood School, board member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, former board member of Alternative Living for the Aging, and founded the Simon Family Drug Research Fund at the University of Alabama.

MONSOUR

SENIOR DIRECTOR, ASSET MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Monsour serves as Senior Director of Asset Management & Development for BARDAS Investment Group. He is responsible for management of all existing projects, design, entitlements, budgeting, financing, and leasing.

Mr. Monsour earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.

KRISTEN
CHONG

CONTROLLER

Ms. Chong serves as Controller for BARDAS Investment Group. She is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of BARDAS’ investments and the establishment and monitoring of accounting policies and procedures.

Ms. Chong earned her B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Southern California and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California since 2012.

KING

HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION

Mr. King serves as Head of Construction for BARDAS Investment Group. He is responsible for all day to day construction related activities of new and existing development projects including design, entitlements and budgeting.

Mr. King is a graduate from the University of Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.

JENNIFER
CHAN

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Ms. Chan serves as Senior Project Manager for BARDAS Investment Group. She is responsible for managing day-to-day construction related activities for all phases of new and existing development projects including design, entitlements, budgeting, project management and construction administration.

Ms. Chan earned her B.S. in Urban Studies from the University of California, Irvine and an M.A. in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California.

HUNTER
HAMMERSTEIN

ASSOCIATE

Mr. Hammerstein serves as an Associate for BARDAS Investment Group, and is responsible for financial modeling, market research, and supporting all aspects of the acquisition, asset management and underwriting process.

Mr. Hammerstein earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

RYAN
MECKLER

SENIOR ANALYST

Mr. Meckler serves as Senior Analyst for BARDAS Investment Group. He is responsible for financial modeling, market research, budget forecasting, and supporting all aspects of acquisitions, asset management, and the underwriting process.

Mr. Meckler earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Administration from the University of Southern California.

MICHELLE
LEWIS

ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

Ms. Lewis serves as a Senior Accountant for BARDAS Investment Group. She is responsible for the day-to-day accounting, monthly and quarterly reporting, and financial oversight of all assets under management.

Ms. Lewis earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Goldey-Beacom College.

STEVE
WON

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Mr. Won serves as a Staff Accountant for BARDAS Investment Group. He is responsible for the day-to-day accounting, monthly and quarterly reporting, and financial oversight of assets under management.

Mr. Won earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Delaware.

CATHERINE
MCGEE

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Ms. McGee serves as Executive Assistant to David Simon for BARDAS Investment Group. She is responsible for supporting the Founder in all day-to-day aspects, including brand development, and managing office operations.

Ms. McGee received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University.

Fusing his experience in both retail and hospitality arenas via Prevail Productions, Ross Klein is known for developing, positioning and re-imagining world-class brands including, Neuehouse, Harry & David, W Hotels, aloft hotels, St. Regis Hotels, Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren and Faded Glory to name a few. While President of Starwood’s Luxury Brands Group, with gross revenues exceeding $1 billion, Ross was named one of the Travel and Leisure Magazine’s Top Innovators, and has received the Courage in Business Award from the NLGCC as well as being recognized as a tastemaker in the industry. Design partnerships in interiors and architecture included noted collaborations with international firms including David Rockwell, Clodagh, Patrick Joain, Ricardo Bofil and Charles Gwathmey.

As the Strategic Director for IMAGINATION the Americas, Ross had the privilege of working on many iconic brands including: Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls Royce, The Lincoln Motor Company, Canon and CUSP/Neiman-Marcus amongst many in the Luxury Segment. Prevail Productions is headquartered in an iconic 1936 Paul R. Williams building on Sunset Boulevard which he has renovated and redesigned and where his studio designs and develops his international hospitality and luxury brand design and development for his clients.
